Track: Good The meeting was held on a track which held together extremely well considering the recent heavy rain prior to and during the meeting which proceeded smoothly.

Race 1	WELCOME STAKES C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	WALL AGE and HE'S A JESSIE brushed together for a short distance going into the first bend and HE'S A JESSIE lost two lengths in the incident.
Race 2	CAPITAL PAVING ( PETONE) C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	KASIM and AEROPLANE RITZY bumped together when the start was made and AEROPLANE RITZY lost ground and settled at the rear but she gradually made up grounnd and finished in 4th place. KASIM faltered soon after the bumping with AEROPLANE RITZY and drifted to the rear and finished several lengths last. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have shoulder blade muscle pain and stopper bone pain under pressure.
Race 3	ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS DASH C4 - C4 - 305	BIG FAT GYPSY began awkwardly and soon after was checked when HOMEBUSH OLIVE shifted in across her running line and BIG FAT GYPSY settled back. BIG FAT GYPSY then shifted out going into the bend and forced BLUE AND CURLY to race a little wide and they stayed back to finish at the rear. EMPTY BANK was tightened between ARMED FORCES and HOMEBUSH OLIVE going into the bend and she was shuffled back to the rear but recovered well to finish in 4th place.
Race 4	PETER CAMPBELL ENGRAVERS C3 - C3 - 520	SHADOW BAXTER was the slowest to begin and he then bumped with GIRL PRIDE which was unbalanced briefly and she settled at the rear and stayed back throughout the race. ARCANE SABRE and LOCHINVAR ROSSI bumped together twice on the first bend and they lost ground and stayed well back throughout.
Race 5	Distance Challenge Cup - C2d - 645	ZIPPING JOE and CAWBOURNE BRIGHT jumped from the outside two boxes and they brushed together losing ground and settled back. ZIPPING JOE checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE BRIGHT going into the second corner and lost four lengths. MAGIC EMILY and BIG RED CHEV bumped together approaching the back straight and BIG RED CHEV was unbalanced and lost two lengths.
Race 6	B & P ENGINEERING C3 - C3 - 305	EL JETTA, CAWBOURNE TOMCAT, NO TIME YET and MISS FOXY MINX bumped together soon after the start and lost momentum briefly. MY FIRST LITTER was placed in restricted room going to the first corner and checked off the heels of EL JETTA and lost ground. NO TIME YET shifted out going into the bend and bumped with and checked MISS FOXY MINX and ANOTHER JEWEL with all three losing ground and they finished in the last three places.
Race 7	COMMITTEE SPRINT C3 - C3 - 305	CAPTAIN'S CHOICE eased off the heels of AZURE DREAMS going into the bend and went back onto HOMEBUSH DAWN and VICKI'S QUEST and all three lost momentum for a short distance.
Race 8	Wellington Stakes C5 - C5 - 520	SPEED LEGEND was slow to begin and settled back. CAWBOURNE BRICK shifted in from the start and bumped with CAWBOURNE CROUCH but they recovered quickly and were the first two into the first corner and held those positions for the remainder of the race. ARCANE RAMPAGE was checked going into the back straight and he went back to last losing five lengths and finished in that position.
Race 9	UPPER HUTT HIRE, NZ Futurity Final R/A - R/Af - 520	SPUD MISSILE was awkwardly positioned in restricted room going into the first bend and was checked losing three lengths and he stayed well back for the remainder of the race and finished in last place.
Race 10	SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE (PETONE) C4 - C4 - 520	AIR RAID began awkwardly and blundered losing four lengths and he stayed back throughout the race and finished in 6th place. KWASANT was checked entering the back striaght and lost three lengths and all chance.
Race 11	Premier Sprint Final - C5f - 305	SUPER ROOSTER, WINFIELD WINTER and WHY OH WHY were slow to begin and they settled back and stayed there throughout the race and finished in the last three places.
Race 12	FAREWELL SPRINT C5 - C5 - 305	BUMP shifted in going to the first corner and tightened BIGTIME DASHER and ALL IN BERLIN which both lost momentum. POPSOME TAGS then galloped on the back of ALL IN BERLIN and a short distance further on, SPRING MAJOR galloped on ALL IN BERLIN and these two runners lost several lengths. BIGTIME DASHER also lost ground in the incident and they finished in the last three places.
