Judicial report: The Stewards were made aware of rumours suggesting that CAWBOURNE CROUCH, one of the favoured runners in the North Island Challenge Stakes on todays programme, had been off colour when racing at Waikato on 26.03.15. However, when questioned, the Trainer M.Roberts stated that was incorrect and that CAWBOURNE CROUCH never travels well but was in normal pre and post race condition at the Cambridge meeting and the Vet at Palmerston North confirmed that the dog was fit and well in his opinion. This information was relayed to the ON and Off Course investors.

Race 1	Turakina Pets C0 - C0 - 375	GOODTIME LADY settled towards the rear and then checked off the back of HOMEBUSH HAPPY on the first corner and lost ground. GOODTIME LADY was checked again on the bend losing further ground and she raced wide over extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 2	Warehouse Stationery C0 - C0 - 457	RITZA RIVER began on terms with the other runners but was lost for early speed and drifted to be three lengths last going to the first corner. He then began to make up ground and finished very well to win the race. MAKING TIME shifted out on the bend and collided with BIGTIME REIGN with both losing several lengths and went back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 3	Grant Irvine Pharmacy C1 - C1 - 375	BUNDORAN LAD and TO THE BANK were slow to begin losing two lengths. They both shifted in going to the first corner and collided with HOMEBUSH LUCIFER with all three becoming a littled unbalanced and losing ground. OPAWA DOSH checked off the heels of SUNDAY DRIVER on the bend and lost two lengths. BENJI began well and was handy to the lead early in the race but then drifted back through the field to finish last. BENJI was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have carpal pain.
Race 4	Greyhounds As Pets C4 - C4 - 375	WHEELIE RASCAL shifted out going into the bend and caused checks to BIG JAMESY, ALLEGRO MASTER, ENHANCER and BOSTON STRIKE and they lost several lengths and all chance and they finished in the last five places.
Race 5	Manawatu Harness Racing Club C3 - C3 - 375	One of the favourites SWEET AS BRO was handy to the lead on the bend but was checked from behind by RUNS FOR GAS and they both lost ground and went back to the rear where they stayed for the remainder of the race.
Race 6	Paul Claridge Electrical C5 - C5 - 375	All clear.
Race 7	J P Print, Petone C3 - C3 - 375	UNLIKELY ATTACK was checked and fell going into the bend but was quickly back on his feet and finished onto the lure. UNLIKELY ATTACK was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have shoulder bruising and hip support pain. MANU RAMA was hampered by the fallen runner and lost a little momentum.
Race 8	Personal Protective Services Ltd. C4 - C4 - 375	SUPER ZIP ZIP shifted in abruptly from the start and caused tightening to WHEELIE CHILLIE, MERCENARY and CRYSTAL WAVE all hampered with MERCENARY the most affected and he lost three lengths and stayed well back throughout the race.
Race 9	North Island Challenge Final - C5f - 457	ANGVELLA shifted in from the start and hampered RITZA DANNY, SMASH ALLEGRO and REALLY CLEVER which all lost ground. SMASH ALLEGRO shifted in going into the bend and checked MAMMY BROWN and REALLY CLEVER and they went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
Race 10	Outback Trading Company Ltd. C1 - C1 - 457	OPAWA CHRIS drifted to the rear from the start and he stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place. RITZA ROSE was checked going to the first corner losing two lengths.
Race 11	Affordable Pet Accessories C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	LOCHINVAR MAUI shifted in from the start and hampered WINSOME JENNY, LOCHINVAR ROSSI and GRADUATION which were unbalanced and lost ground. WINSOME JENNY recovered the best of the affected runners and she made up ground for 2nd placing.
Race 12	Graeme Hayden-Holmes Memorial C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	THRILLING DYLAN shifted in going to the first corner and tightened CAWBOURNE ARIES which lost ground and went back to last. MARIAH galloped on the back of BOSTON LIGHTNING going into the bend and they both lost three lengths. BOSTON LIGHTNING made a good recovery to finish well to win the race.
