Race 1 Super Pets Dash - C3 - 295 CAR BOOTLE (1) was slow through the initial stages after jostling with HANNA THE SPANNA (2) on jumping. Into the first turn JUDITH MARY (6) was contacted from behind by BROKEN PEDRO (6) . Shortly thereafter JUDITH MARY was unbalanced and checked,losing all chance ,when making firm contact with HOMEBUSH ROCKY (3) which shifted outwards. Also hampered in this incident was GO TOMMO (7) which was forced wider on the track.
Race 2 Christchurch Casino Sprint - C4 - 295 CRACKING CHAIN (1) began awkwardly and with KNOW MAYHEM (2) was slow early.Shortly after the start LAUDABLE (3) and OHOKA COBY (6) both shifted ground and hampered SWISS ACE (4) and OPAWA OPAL (5). Shortly thereafter both CRACKING CHAIN and KNOW MAYHEM were hampered when SWISS ACE shifted down to the running line. Rounding the turn SWISS ACE was awkwardly placed on the heels of LAUDABLE and checked across heels losing momentum .Hampered in consequence was the trialing CRACKING CHAIN .Into the final straight KNOW MAYHEM shifted outwards and forced SWISS ACE over extra ground.
Race 3 Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C3 - 295 RATTLE YA DAGS (3) shifted inwards on jumping and hampered both ABOUT TOWN (2) and BLAZING HOT (1). Shortly after the start BOTANY WIN (7) shifted inwards and placed HOMEBUSH ZANE (6) in restricted room also hampered was WILL EXCITE (5). BOTANY WIN continued on an inward movement checking HOMEBUSH ZANE ,RATTLE YA DAGS and ABOUT TOWN .Into the turn BOTANY WIN was then contacted from behind by HOMEBUSH ZANE with both runners losing momentum. RATTLE YA DAGS shifted across heels and forced WILL EXCITE wider at the first turn .
Race 4 Shirley Vet Clinic Dash - C5 - 295 CHOKEHOLD (3) and BUSINESS AFFAIR (6) were slow to begin. Into the first turn PAPERBOND (1) was placed in restricted room and checked across the heels of ZEBIDIAH (2) .Shortly thereafter PAPERHOLD was checked and lost all chance when contacting ZEBIDIAH from behind, shifting outwards, making contact with the improving BUSINESS AFFAIR .BUSINESS AFFAIR ran wide rounding the turn as a result forcing HOMEBUSH ARIEL (8) over extra ground. Rounding the turn BARNICLE BULLET (7) checked across the heels of COLLECTING MONEY (5).
Race 5 Mac Developments Stakes - C2/3 - 520 LENA ALLEN (7) shifted inwards on jumping and hampered RUNAWAY TAXI (6) . LENA ALLEN continued inwards and hampered CAWBOURNE FLOYD (5) ,MULL IT OVER (4) and WHAT I LIKE (3) which was checked and lost all chance . Shortly thereafter DREAM ACADEMY (2) was was checked due to sustained inward pressure when tight to the outside of BOTANY RICHIE .
Race 6 christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C4 - 295 OPAWA IDOL (5) was slow through the initial stages. GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE (3) was unbalanced when contacted from behind by KNOW CERTAINTY (4) shortly after the start . Rounding the bend INCREASING (2) ran wide forcing LITTLE MIDNIGHT (8) over extra ground.
Race 7 Power Farming Canterbury Sprint - C5 - 295 HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (7) shifted inwards abruptly at the start and dictated SPUD GUN (6) onto BIG MUDDY (5) and STARBURST TERRY (4) .QUEDRAGO(1) made contact with LITTLE REGUS (3) soon after jumping.LITTLE REGUS was obliged to shift ground outwards to avoid outside runners when at the rear. QUEDRAGO which was attempting to shift away from the running line became awkwardly placed on the heels of STARBURST TERRY and fell .QUEDRAGO was referred to the clubs veterinarian for assessment. Into the first turn BIG MUDDY checked outwards across the heels of SPUD GUN losing momentum and chance..
Race 8 Bill's Bar & Bistro 2015 Canterbury Futurity - R/Af - 520 OPAWA DIESEL (8) was slow to begin. BOOSTIN' (5) was hampered in the initial stages when tightened between runners. OPAWA ROCKY (4) was forced inwards by outside pressure making firm contact with TRUST ISSUES (3) which got back as a result.Shortly thereafter CALINDA GIRL(6) and OPAWA DIESEL jostled and became unbalanced momentarily .Passing the winning post on the first occasion SHINES BRIGHT (1) was badly checked when tightened from the outside. CALINDA GIRL and OPAWA ROCKY were badly buffeted in this incident. Rounding the first bend CALINDA GIRL made firm contact with the running rail and shifted outwards abruptly making firm contact with SHINES BRIGHT which was badly unbalanced and fell as a result. SHINES BRIGHT and CALINDA GIRL were both sent to the clubs veterinarian for assessment.
Race 9 Barron's Supplies Stakes - C4 - 520 COVER TO COVER (7) and SOUMILLON (8) were slow to begin . Passing the winning post on the first occasion BOTANY SEATON (5) was checked and lost momentum when awkwardly placed on the heels of HIS LORDSHIP (2) which shifted away from the running line.Into the final straight CULVIE SPRITE (1) was held up for clear running for a short distance when in restricted room .
Race 10 Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C5 - 295 IRISH BLUE (8) was slow to begin . KNOW PRIDE (9) was slow in the initial stages.HOMEBUSH KELSO (4) was badly checked shortly after the start when SOZIN'S COMET (3) shifted outwards abruptly.Rounding the bend HOMEBUSH KELSO was again hampered when tight to the inside of RICK'S TERRA (5) which shifted in towards the running line.
Race 11 Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C4/5 - 520 JINJA TURTLE (4) got back after the start when tightened between runners.Racing towards the first bend IDOL GIRL (3) and OPAWA NO EAR (7) came together and jostled for some distance. Rounding the bend BOTANY BLAKE (6) was contacted from behind by INVIDIOUS (9) and lost momentum shifting wider and in doing so forced INVIDIUOS over extra ground.BOTANY KEVIN (2) was all obliged to race wide on the track due to this incident. Rounding the first bend OPAWA NO EAR and IDOL GIRL continued to jostle and became unbalanced for a distance when well back in the field.
Race 12 Protexin Sprint - C4 - 295 NO LEAF CLOVER (7) shifted in on jumping and dictacted BLUE GALE RISE (5) and and MARY MARLOW (4) inwards.Shortly after the start KNOW JEALOUSY (2) checked outwards across the heels of MARY MARLOW when well back in the running. BLUE GALE RISE continued to shift inwards and made firm contact with MARY MARLOW which lost momentum. BLUE GALE RISE then shifted outwards and made heavy contact with ZORBA THE GREEK (6) resulting in both runners being unbalanced for a short distance.KNOW JEALOUSY improved wide rounding the final bend.
