Race 1 | Merv Fahey Memorial - C3 - 295 | JUDITH MARY (1) and OHOKA HOPE (7) were both slow to begin. Shortly after the start BUTTERBEAN (6) was contacted from the inside by MICKEY TEE (5) which was dictated wider by inside runners. As a result OHOKA HOPE became awkwardly placed on the heels of BUTTERBEAN and was checked losing ground. |
Race 2 | Jackie McLay Memorial - C4 - 295 | DREAM ACADEMY (8) began awkwardly and lost ground. COLLECTING MONEY (6) shifted inwards abruptly on jumping and hampered RED HOT FURY (5). At the first turn RED HOT FURY was further hampered when checked by the improving SPRINKLES (7). Shortly thereafter BROKEN PEDRO (4) was awkward on the heels of SPRINKLES and lost momentum. |
Race 3 | Dave Davies & Brent Coull Memorial - C3 - 295 | OPAWA OPAL (6) , ABOUT TOWN (5) and OUT BACK BILL (3) all came together shortly after the start and got back as a result. Into the first turn OPAWA OPAL was checked when tight to the outside of CHAIMBO (2) which shifted outwards . |
Race 4 | Gary Denovan Memorial - C2/3 - 520 | Shortly after the start STICH UP (6) was checked and lost ground when tightened between runners. Shortly thereafter OPAWA STELLA (7) was hampered by the improving OPAWA KENDAL (8). Rounding the first bend RUNAWAY TAXI (5) shifted inwards and made contact with OPAWA JED (2) and lost momentum as a result. Rounding the final turn OPAWA STELLA made firm contact with OPAWA KENDAL when looking for clear running. OPAWA STELLA and OPAWA KENDAL came together again upon entering the home straight. |
Race 5 | Ethel Sibley Memorial - C5 - 295 | KERAMUS (6) was slow to begin. Into the first turn FLYING SWAN (7) was contacted from behind by HOMEBUSH KELSO (8) and ran very wide rounding the bend as a result . HOMEBUSH KELSO lost momentum in this incident shifting inwards hampering KERAMUS. TEE TIME (4) shifted inwards off the heels of PORKY PIG (2) shortly before entering the home straight. |
Race 6 | Graham Barron Memorial - C0d - 645 | TRACEY (6) was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SHEEZA FLOWER (3) was checked when tightened between runners. On entering the straight on the first occasion CAWBOURNE WITCH (1) and TRUE BLUE STYLE (4) made firm contact. Leaving the back straight CAWBOURNE WITCH lost momentum when in restricted room to the inside of HIS LORDSHIP (7) which shifted towards the running line. TRUE BLUE STYLE was referred to the vet for assessment following this event. |
Race 7 | Pat Cagney Memorial - C5 - 295 | Into the first bend BUMP (5) was checked between runners and lost all chance. Shortly thereafter HOMEBUSH CHURRO (8) continued inwards and hampered STARBURST TERRY (4). STARBURST TERRY and HOMEBUSH CHURRO were further hampered when IRISH BLUE (3) shifted away from the running line. |

Race 9 | Gerald & Lindsay Cleeve Memorial - C4 - 295 | Into the first bend WANDY GAYLENE (9) was checked and lost all chance when WEE TERRA (5) shifted inwards. WEE TERRA lost momentum in this incident. WANDY GAYLENE was referred to the vet for assessment. |
Race 10 | Elvin Hibbs Memorial - C5 - 295 | There was a significant delay to the start of this event due to a lengthy delay at the Marlborough Harness Racing meeting. RODRIGUEZ (8) was slow to begin. INSPECTOR SPOT (1) was awkwardly placed on the heels of LITTLE REGUS (3) racing into the first bend. |
Race 11 | Colin Counsell Memorial - C4 - 520 | This race was delayed 2 minutes on request of Raceday Control. SOUMILLON (7) was slow to begin. Shortly after jumping OPAWA ROSIE (3) shifted away from the heels of CULVIE MAGIC (1) and hampered OPAWA ROCKY (4) and LAGOON BELLE (8). Near the winning post on the first occasion CULVIE SPRITE (2) was badly checked when tight to the inside of runners. Rounding the first bend LAGOON BELLE was awkward on the heels of CULVIE MAGIC for some distance resulting in both runners losing all chance. At the end of the back straight JESSIE SURFS (5) and OPAWA ROSIE made firm contact on a number of occasions resulting in OPAWA ROSIE losing momentum. |
Race 12 | Gordon Kingston Memorial - C4 - 295 | This event was delayed 2 minutes on request of Raceday Control. HOMEBUSH ROCKY (8) was slow through the initial stages. KNOW MAYHEM (2) and STAR DREAMER (3) were slow to begin. CAWBOURNE ARROW (5) lost momentum rounding the bend when awkwardly placed on the heels of DILLMANSTOWN (6). Shortly thereafter TOKEN STU (4) shifted wider and forced DILLMANSTOWN over extra ground. STAR DREAMER raced wide on the track throughout. |
