Judicial report: THRILLING MARTY (P&B Connor) was withdrawn from the Kingston Cup Final prior to the Box Draw with a veterinary certificate provided. Trainer L Philips advised Stewards that FINN MCMISSILE has been retired after suffering an injury at Southland on 16 September. An inquiry instigated on Friday 12 September where Trainer C Roberts admitted a breach of Rule 88.1.o. in that he presented the incorrect dog at kennelling was concluded with the JCA fining Mr Roberts the sum of $350.00.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C5 - 295	TRANS TASMAN (3), QUEDRAGO (5) and KERAMUS (8) were the last trio on jumping. KETUT (2) ran wide on the turn pushing LAREDO (7) wider on the track. LAREDO then ran inwards colliding with BLONDE TORI (4) on the home turn.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Mel Chapman Stakes - C3 - 520	OPAWA TOM (2), GOLDSTAR BOMBER (5) and HIS LORDSHIP (6) were the last trio on jumping. OPAWA TOM was tightened into the first bend and lost ground. STICH UP (3) was checked into the first bend and lost a length. SHEEZA FLOWER (8) received a slight check when improving on the home turn.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4 - 295	BLUE GALE RISE (5) was last to jump. TEPIRITA CHARGER (6) ran inwards in the early stages checking KNOW KNOWING (4) and WUNZEE (3) who dropped to the rear. STARBURST TERRY (2) angled outwards a touch on the home turn pushing TEPIRITA CHARGER wider on the track. TEAM DREAM (7) shifted up the track marginally in the run home inconveniencing STARBURST TERRY for a stride. TEAM DREAM contacted the rail at the lure and was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 4	Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C5 - 295	NOBLE FANTASY (7) was checked soon after the start as CAWBOURNE JELLY (8) crossed from her outside. LITTLE REGUS (4) was tightened on the bend and ran outwards pushing NOBLE FANTASY over extra ground. LITTLE REGUS then angled inwards with IMPERSONATOR (1) being forced to change ground to his outside.
Race 5	Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C4 - 295	OPAWA JED (3) was last on settling. RICK'S TERRA (5) was forced wide around the bend which in turn caused RED HOT FURY (4) to angle to the outside into the path of EXCUSE PLEASE (8). RED HOT FURY was badly dragged down as a result of the contact from EXCUSE PLEASE with RED HOT FURY losing his chance and EXCUSE PLEASE being pushed very wide. RED HOT FURY was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	Racing Greyhound Breeders (NZ) Ltd Stakes - C4 - 520	OPAWA ANDREA (7) was checked in the initial stages and settled at the rear. Into the first bend OPAWA MICHELLE (5) was tightened and lost a length with CAWBOURNE WAR (8) being forced wide. The trailing AMBILIGHT (5) then collided with OPAWA MICHELLE with this pair losing their chances and OPAWA ANDREA being badly hampered. OPAWA MICHELLE was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 7	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C5 - 295	RODRIGUEZ (7) ran inwards in the initial stages pushing ZEBIDIAH (5) down the track contacting KNOW ADVANTAGE (4) who dropped to the rear. RODRIGUEZ continued his quest for the rail and checked STAR DREAMER (1) as he reached the lead with STAR DREAMER losing ground. BROKEN PEDRO (3) lost ground into the bend after receiving some tightening. STAR DREAMER ran wide on the home turn.
Race 8	I Pave Concrete Christchurch Classic Final - R/Af - 520	BOTANY RICHIE (3), JEWEL EAGLE (5) and BOTANY BLAKE (6) were the last trio on settling. JESSIE SURFS (1) checked outwards off runners into the first bend pushing BOTANY RICHIE, JEWEL EAGLE and BOTANY BLAKE wider on the track as they attempted to improve. In the back straight HOMEBUSH KELSO (4) was tightened and lost momentum as OPAWA ROSIE (8) crossed to the rail.
Race 9	Robbie's Bar & Bistro Stakes - C5 - 520	KNOW DANGER (5) stumbled soon after dispatch and settled a clear last. Into the first bend pressure caused from outside dogs angling inwards and KNOW CERTAINTY (1) running marginally outwards caused CAWBOURNE AXE (4) to be badly checked and ROBBIE (6) to fall with OPAWA ZARA (2) having to hurdle that runner. CRACKING CHAIN (7) was also badly inconvenienced in this incident. On the first bend KNOW CERTAINTY and CRACKING CHAIN received a further check as KNOW DANGER improved quickly to their inside. CAWBOURNE AXE, ROBBIE and OPAWA ZARA were all referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 10	Kingston Cup Final - C2df - 732	COOL PURSUIT (6) was last to jump. COOL PURSUIT was then badly dragged down on the first bend dropping to a clear last. JINJA POWER (7) angled wide on the second bend pushing KNOW AMBITION (4) and OPAWA TANIA (5) wider on the track. COOL PURSUIT was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury.
Race 11	racingdogs.co.nz Dash - C5 - 295	TIME SLAYER (7) and ATTACK WIDE (8) were the last pair on jumping. SOZIN'S COMET (4) and MR. WHIPPY (5) both crossed to the rail into the bend causing tightening to POPSTAR ROCKET (1), ANGELIC STAR (3) and TERRA ANNIE (9). LIFE'S A LAUGH (6) ran outwards on the bend causing a check to TIME SLAYER who lost ground. On the home turn TERRA ANNIE and POPSTAR ROCKET came together when well back.
Race 12	Livamol Dash - C4 - 295	ZOE BRAND (5) was last to jump. JOHN DORY (4) and KNOW JEALOUSY (6) also settled well back after MAKER'S LABEL (10) had crossed quickly and caused some tightening. Early in the run home JINJA TURTLE (3) shifted outwards bumping STARBURST JOSH (8) for a stride. STARBURST JOSH was referred to the vet for assessment.
