Track: Good The track was presented in good order and with the equipment working well, the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: GRUNT RODGERS (J McInerney) which was stood down at Southland GRC on 12 August, was represented to Veterinary Surgeon L Roberts on 13 August and found to be free of injury with the stand down being rescinded in terms of Rule 82.6.
There were eight late scratchings from the McInerney's Darfield kennel and this was due to travel difficulties from the South Island with very high winds disrupting the Ferry sailings.

Race 1	QUALITY INN COLLEGIATE C3 - C3 - 305	SMART COOKIE shifted in from the start and made contact with MISS ALLEGRO with both becoming briefly unbalanced. SMART COOKIE then raced a little wide for the remainder of the race and covered extra ground.
Race 2	www.RacingTips.co.nz C0 Final - C0f - 520	BIGTIME KAZZ and TRACEY bumped together when the start was made and they lost ground and settled back. THRILLING DUDE, TRENDY LASS and WHY OH WHY jostled together going into the first bend with TRENDY LASS the most affected and she dropped back onto BIGTIME KAZ and RIKKI'S REBEL which were both checked and went back to the rear. RIKKI'S REBEL recovered the best from the incident and made up ground for 4th place.
Race 3	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 520	All clear.
Race 4	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	TRIDENT shifted in abruptly from the start and bumped I'M A CATCH in onto ALPINADOR and those two became unbalanced and settled at the rear. QUEEN COBRA shifted in near the entrance to the back straight and checked OPAWA TOKEN which lost two lengths and SPEEDY FEET was also hampered in the incident and lost ground.
Race 5	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C5 - C5 - 305	BOSTON BLAZE, NGAURUHOE, DEATHSTAR and VICKI'S QUEST jostled together soon after the start and they all lost momentum for a short distance. NGAURUHOE and ENAZUMA bumped together going into the bend and ENAZUMA was shuffled back to the rear.
Race 6	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C5 - C5 - 305	OPAWA SISTER, WILD AS ANGELS and BEE RABBIT jostled together for a short distance soon after the start. CHOCDEE ALICE shifted in going into the bend and tightened WILD AS ANGELS onto BEE RABBIT which was eventually checked back to the rear.
Race 7	WANGANUI SECURITY C5 - C5 - 305	TALK IT OVER was slow to begin losing two lengths but he made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. LEADFOOT LENNY and SUPER ROOSTER bumped when the start was made and were inconvenienced for a stride. BELKARA eased off the heels of EMBEE DEE going into the first corner and ran wide into the bend.
Race 8	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C4 - C4 - 520	HELLO ELLO was the slowest to begin and settled at the rear but she made up ground well over the final stages to finish in 4th place. MR JIMMY appeared to be in need of some assistance following the race but was found to be suffering from cramp and recovered quickly.
Race 9	Brad Canty Wanganui Cup Gp 1 Final C5 - C5f - 520	LADY SHAMBI shifted in from the start and crowded JANNIK in onto NIGHT PEARL which was checked back to the rear. ROBBIE shifted out from the start and made contact with NIGHT PEARL. ROBBIE raced onto the heels of TIFINO and BLITZING MAYHEM going into the first turn and shifted out, colliding with JANNIK and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. TIFINO and BLITZING MAYHEMwere also affected in the incident, became unbalanced and lost three lengths.
Race 10	Brad Canty Wanganui Cup Consolation C5 - C5 - 520	PIGGY BACK shifted in from the start and checked KWASANT which settled back. PIGGY BACK continued to shift in and going into the first turn caused checks to BLUE AND CURLY which fell and INDIANA IZMIR which lost ground. CAWBOURNE WAR and KWASANT were severely checked in the incident losing several lengths and all chance. BLUE AND CURLY was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a tricep injury.
Race 11	THE ROCK 95.2FM C4 - C4 - 305	HOMEBUSH CRASH and COSMIC CHOICE were slow to begin losing two lengths. REBEL CITY was checked and fell going into the bend and CAWBOURNE BURN and COSMIC CHOICE were both hampered and lost ground in the incident. REBEL CITY was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pectoral muscle pain.
Race 12	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C4 - C4 - 305	CAWBOURNE FLOW and JUMPIN SALLY jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and JUMPIN SALLY was eventually checked losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place.
