GOLFING BUDDY, CAWBOURNE STEVE and MISS VOTCHKA bumped together going into the first bend and became unbalanced losing three lengths. The same three runners bumped again going towards the back straight losing further ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear. |

They jostled again going into the first bend losing further ground and COSMIC SCRAMBLE and BORIS jostled together entering the back straight and lost all chance. TRACEY shifted in going into the first corner and checked COSMIC SCRAMBLE which lost four lengths. |
| Race 3 | ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C4 - C4 - 305 | JUMPIN SALLY shifted in from the start and bumped FLYING TRANCE onto CIDER DRINKA and all three were briefly unbalanced with JUMPIN SALLY the most affected. CIDER DRINKA shifted out going into the bend and forced STEVIE'S MAGIC and BIT COIN very wide with BIT COIN the most affected. |
| Race 4 | KEENAN CONCRETE C4 - C4 - 520 | LOCHINVAR MAUI and JOHNNY RITZA bumped when the start was made and JOHNNY RITZA was inconvenienced and settled at the rear. He then raced wide over extra ground on the first bend and never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. |

| Race 6 | BRAD CANTY Wanganui Cup Ht2 C5 Gp 1 - C5q - 520 Heat 2 | ROYAL RUNNER and JANNIK bumped going into the first bend and JANNIK lost two lengths. CAWBOURNE ABBI and VARGA FROST jostled going into the first bend and CAWBOURNE ABBI was checked back to the rear. ROYAL RUNNER checked off the back of LADY SHAMBI on the first bend and lost five lengths and all chance and she never recovered and finished in last place. |
| Race 7 | BRAD CANTY Wanganui Cup Ht3 C5 Gp 1 - C5q - 520 Heat 3 | OPAWA ZARA began awkwardly and shifted out causing checks to CAWBOURNE WAR and SPEED LEGEND and they settled in the last three positions. STAY YOUNG faltered entering the back straight and quickly drifted back through the field and finished several lengths last. STAY YOUNG was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a gracilus muscle injury. |

A short distance further on, ZIPPING ORRICK checked off the heels of WAY TOO CRUDE and was briefly unbalanced. SWEET RUBYJANE and KWASANT bumped together going into the first corner and SWEET RUBYJANE was checked losing three lengths. ANDREA was also checked going into the first bend and was briefly unbalanced. |
| Race 9 | WANGANUI PUNTER OF THE YEAR 15TH AUGUST C5 - C5 - 305 | OPAWA SISTER was the slowest to begin losing two lengths but she recovered to finish in 3rd place. ALDONZA shifted out slightly going into the bend and hampered herself and also WILD AS ANGELS and they both lost ground. |
| Race 10 | CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD Gp2 Wanganui Stayers Final C2D - C2df - 755 | RAMAH REASON checked over the heels of COOL PURSUIT going into the first turn and shifted out to race wide and he continued to race wide for some distance. GRADUATION began to drift down the back straight and finished the race several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. |
