| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C0 - 295 | SALLY WEST (1) jumped in the air as the lids opened losing ground. PORKY PIG (7) shifted in soon after the start making solid contact with SMASH ROSIE (6) with both runners losing ground. Soon after the start HE'S A JESSIE (4) shifted in making contact with EYES ON LULU (3) who shifted in coming together with HOMEBUSH ERROL (2). PORKY PIG and OHOKA FAITH (6) came together rounding the first bend with PORKY PIG losing ground as a result. Rounding the bend HE'S A JESSIE and EYES ON LULU came together for several strides rounding the bend with both runners losing ground. PORKY PIG and SALLY west made contact rounding the final bend. |
| Race 2 | Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C0 - 295 | ARCHIE'S PLAN was a late scratching at kennelling on veterinary advice. WAXEYE'S BIG KID (1) shifted out off the heels of SPIDER GIRL (3) rounding the first bend. Soon after SPIDER GIRL got on the heels of MARLENE'S TERRA (5) shifting out losing considerable ground. SPIDER GIRL then lost further ground after making contact with BITA BANTA (2). HOMEBUSH MISHA (8) raced wide throughout. |
| Race 3 | Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Stakes Heat 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1 | OPAWA VIV (9) shifted out leaving the boxes making contact with OHOKA TOO SOON (3) who lost ground. Racing round the first bend OPAWA OPAL (4) became awkwardly placed to the inside of SONNY WILL (1) making contact with this runners heels becoming unbalanced shifting out hampering FLYING AMELIA (6) with both runners losing ground as a result. Also inconvenienced as a result was BOTANY JOHN (7) who was dictated wider. |
| Race 4 | The Turf Bar Dash - C0 - 295 | Leaving the boxes HOMEBUSH HAPPY (5) shifted in abruptly hampering ECKLES (4) and HOMEBUSH TED (3) then continued to shift in inconveniencing HURRICANE SANDY (2) with all runners losing ground as a result. |
| Race 5 | Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Stakes Heat 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2 | Into the first turn JINJA COOKIE (3) ran outwards inconveniencing LADY MUI (4) with both dogs losing momentum. On the final turn DUSTY RIDER (6) checked off the heels of JINJA COOKIE. |
| Race 6 | Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Stakes Heat 3 - C0q - 520 Heat 3 | GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (7) and OPAWA DES (8) jostled soon after leaving the boxes. OPAWA JACKIE (5) was crowded losing ground soon after the start between HOMEBUSH GINGER (4) who shifted out and KNOW SMIGGLE (6) who shifted in. HOMEBUSH GINGER and KNOW SMIGGLE then came together. KNOW SMIGGLE and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR came together racing toward the first turn resulting in KNOW SMIGGLE then racing wide and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR losing ground. Rounding the final bend DEE (1) was crowded between BOTANY CHRIS (3) and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR with these three runners all coming together becoming unbalanced. OPAWA DES was referred to the vet for assessment after giving ground and becoming distanced from the field. The post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance of OPAWA DES co-trainer J Lane advised Stewards this was the greyhound's first start and he was of the opinion the dog was not suited to racing under lights at this early stage of his racing career. |
| Race 7 | Yella Mustard At Stud Dash - C0 - 295 | GIN SLING (5) and BOTANY LIZ (8) were slow away. GOLDSTAR FRANKIE (4) got on the heels of ENFORCED KIWI (3) entering the first bend becoming unbalanced losing ground going back onto BOTANY LIZ (8) with both runners then losing considerable ground. PEPPERMINT PATTY (2) was held up early in the final straight. |
| Race 8 | racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C2 - 295 | GO TOMMO (8), CONALOO (1) and REDHOT FURY (2) were slow away. HOMEBUSH KELSO (5) shifted in leaving the boxes inconveniencing BROKEN PEDRO (4) then making contact with MAMALULU (3). RED HOT FURY (2) and MAMALULU made brief contact racing down the back straight. Rounding the first bend ANOTHER ANOTHER (6) checked out off MAMALULU dictating GO TOMMO wider on the track. BROKEN PEDRO was tightened losing ground rounding the first bend. |
| Race 9 | The Miller Bar & Cafe Dash - C2 - 295 | GLENN IS GOODSEY (3) was slow away. Soon after the start JASPER HAKA (4) shifted in inconveniencing TOKEN STU (2). BIGTIME TIP (1) shifted out after the start coming together with HOME TRUTH (5). Inconvenienced as a result as was NO LEAF CLOVER (7). Shortly after GOLDSTAR JEANIE (8) shifted into the line of NO LEAF CLOVER who was checked. GOLDSTAR JEANIE then continued to shift in dictating NO LEAF CLOVER down onto HOME TRUTH who was hampered becoming unbalanced shifting in checking TOKEN STU and JASPER HAKA with all runners losing ground. JASPER HAKA then got on the heels of HOME TRUTH dragging this runner down with both dogs losing all chance. HOME TRUTH was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injuries. |
| Race 10 | Johnny Midnight At Stud Stakes - C2 - 520 | Leaving the boxes COVER TO COVER (3) and OHOKA FRENCHI (4) were crowded and checked when MR JOHNNY (2) shifted out and KAINO (5) shifted in. Shortly after CAWBOURNE CRUZE (7) shifted in dictating AXEL GRINDER (6) onto these runners. CAWBOURNE CRUZE then continued to shift in making contact with KNOW AMBITION (1) with these runners jostling for several strides and losing momentum. Entering the first bend AXEL GRINDER (6) lost ground after making contact with KAINO (5). COVER TO COVER (3) raced wide rounding the first bend. |
| Race 11 | C.T.V. Sprint - C2 - 295 | ANOTHER COVER (3) and SMASH AMY (4) came together leaving the boxes and were then further inconvenienced when PEDRO FORCE (5) shifted in contacting these runners. SMASH AMY then shifted out into the line of WANDY DESTINY (7) who was inconvenienced. PEDRO FORCE (5) and LA FONTAINE (8) came together rounding the first bend with PEDRO FORCE losing ground. PEDRO FORCE (5) and LA FONTAINE (8) again came together rounding the final bend. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 | Soon after leaving the boxes CEC DIVINE (3) shifted in making contact with HYPERPARADISE (2) who became unbalanced and fell. HYPERPARADISE recovered quickly to finish the race. Shortly after EDITORIAL (5) shifted in making contact with CEC DIVINE who was momentarily unbalanced. CHOKEHOLD (6) and WANDY CHLOE (4) came together for a distance racing down the back straight with CHOKEHOLD then dictating WANDY CHLOE toward the running rail approaching the first bend with WANDY CHLOE losing ground as a result. Also inconvenienced and losing ground was CEC DIVINE who was trailing these runners. Rounding the bend CHOKEHOLD shifted in free of interference, becoming unbalanced and making contact with the running rail. Entering the final straight JOHN DORY (7) shifted ground in off the heels of BIG MUDDY (8). A post race veterinary examination of HYPERPARADISE revealed no injuries. CHOKEHOLD was referred to the vet for assessment with a minor laceration detected on the left hind leg and no stand down recommended. |
