Track: Heavy The starting boxes failed to activate in Race 4 due to a faulty sensor. The sensor was replaced and no other issues were reported. Due to the extremely heavy nature of the track, no equipment was used between races to groom the track.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	TOTALLY TOASTED (4) was slow to begin. RED HOT FURY (2) and HOMEBUSH KELSO (5) collided racing into the bend with the trailing ANOTHER ANOTHER (6) also being checked. SUMMER LOVE (7) and GO NOLA (8) bumped going into the bend with SUMMER LOVE shifting wider on the track forcing GO NOLA over extra ground.
Race 2	Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520	Racing into the first bend OPAWA HALLY (4) and WANDY ON IN (8) made contact. MR BARRY (3) and BOTANY COMET (2) also bumped racing into the first bend. GOLDSTAR JEANIE (7) and KNOW SECURITY (5) came together rounding the final bend after both dogs shifted ground.
Race 3	Pretty Good At Stud Sprint - C1 - 295	The start of this was delayed while an inspection of the track was completed to ensure that the muzzle which had broken on TRUE BLUE STYLE in Race 2 was not on the track. GROOVY LEO (7) was slow to begin. SLINGO (4) and QUE TEE CHICKS (8) collided racing into the bend.
Race 4	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C1 - 520	The boxes failed to open due to a faulty sensor. All dogs were removed from the boxes and cleared to start by the Veterinarian. This race was started manually. KNOW SOLUTION (1), OPAWA PAUL (2), CASINO BLACK (3) and CAWBOURNE AXE (4) collided in the early stages. Racing into the first bend CAWBOURNE AXE and HOMEBUSH ZELDA (5) came together with HOMEBUSH ZELDA losing ground with the trailing OPAWA PEARL (8) being checked. Shortly after HOMEBUSH ZELDA and CULVIE SPRITE (7) collided with the trailing KNOW SOLUTION checking off the heels of HOMEBUSH ZELDA, resulting in KNOW SOLUTION and CASINO BLACK coming together. KNOW SOLUTION and CASINO BLACK again bumped rounding the final bend.
Race 5	C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295	The start was delayed due to the previous race. LINE HONOURS (5), MAX'S LAD (6) and BIG MUDDY (7) were slow to begin. LINE HONOURS and MAX'S LAD came together in the early stages. STAR GUN (4) became awkward in its action after jumping and lost ground. FULLA TORQUE (1) and MAX'S LAD collided racing into the first bend. STAR GUN and MAX'S LAD were referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C1 - 295	CHURCHILL CHASER (2) and KERAMUS GIRL (4) were slow to begin. GLENN IS GOODESY (5) and WANDY MILLAH (10) bumped racing into the first bend. TOKEN STU (3) raced wide rounding the final bend.
Race 7	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	HOMEBUSH RAIDER (4), KNOW FUTURE (5), TODDY'S A FLYER (6) and GOLDSTAR BOMBER (7) collided in the early stages. KAINO (2) and GOLDSTAR BOMBER made contact racing into the first bend.
Race 8	Glenbyre Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295	RADICAL RUFUS (5) was slow to begin. TRUMPED UP (6) checked off the heels of WUNZEE (4) rounding the bend. WUNZEE was also checked when racing between WONKEY DONKEY (2) and OPAWA LAZ (8) rounding the bend. OPAWA LAZ checked off the heels of WONKEY DONKEY late in the run home
Race 9	Barron's Supplies Dash - C1 - 295	PHIL WART (6) and MOP HEAD (3) collided in the early stages. Racing into the bend OUT BACK BILL (2) checked off the heels of MOP HEAD resulting in MOP HEAD losing momentum and colliding with ANOTHER FANTASY (1). MOP HEAD and ANOTHER FANTASY both dropped to the rear as a consequence.
Race 10	Garden City Chem-Dry Stakes - C1 - 520	KNOW DANGER (5) was slow to begin. VOUSSOIR (2) shifted outwards shortly after the start causing interference to MISS SELFIES (3), CAWBOURNE TIP (4), LAREDO (6), GOLDSTAR MAGIC (7) and BLUSHING BELLE (8). Racing into the first bend GOLDSTAR MAGIC checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE TIP and lost several lengths.
Race 11	Chris & Lisa Earl Sprint - C1 - 295	BILLY MUGGINS (8) and NITRO EXPRESS (5) came together racing along the back straight. KENNY'S COMET (2), CEC DEVINE (4) and BILLY MUGGINS collided racing into the bend. Shortly after KENNY'S COMET checked off the heels of CEC DEVINE and shifted outwards forcing ANOTHER HUNTER (6) and BILLY MUGGINS wider on the track. CELOSIA (3) shifted outwards in the run home to avoid the heels of NITRO EXPRESS.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C1 - 295	NO LEAF CLOVER (3) and KNOW PITY (4) came together shortly after the start. LOOK AT LUCY(6) and CHOCDEE KAREN (7) also bumped in the early stages. Into the bend NO LEAF CLOVER, KNOW PITY and CHOCDEE KAREN collided. THANKS LOUISE (10) was tightened for racing room between JASPER HAKA (1) and LOOK AT LUCY racing into the bend and lost ground impeding the trailing KNOW PITY. When spoken to regarding the improved performance of JASPER HAKA, kennel representative K O'Connor explained that the dog was having its first start back since being freshened and was of the opinion that JASPER HAKA had appreciated the heavy nature of today's track.
