Track: Good The meeting was held in very ordinary weather with rail falling for most of the night which made conditions very unpleasant for those required to be outside. The track held up well .but an area in front of the 520 boxes became very soft during the evening which was of concern.

Race 1	Anglo Upholsterers (Seaview) C5 - C5 - 305	HOMEBUSH BORIS was the slowest to begin and he stayed back throughout the race. ENAZUMA shifted out from the start and hampered HEY YOU who lost a length but recovered well to finish in 4th place. VICKI'S QUEST was awkwardly placed between runners on the first corner and lost two lengths.
Race 2	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE KIRSTY, BOTANY MOLLY and RICH LIST were a little slow to begin and settled back. SHEZA TERROR checked off the heels of the leader CAWBOURNE RENEE going into the back straight and lost ground. Soon after BELLE CADEAU shifted in checking CAWBOURNE KIRSTY and BOTANY MOLLY who both lost ground. BOTANY MOLLY shifted out in the incident and hampered FLYING REBEL who lost ground, went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 3	McAndrews Menswear (Petone) C3 - C3 - 305	SOSAN and KRUSSIAN bumped together gong into the bend and KRUSSIAN lost ground, went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 4	Distance Challenge Cup C2D - C2d - 645	SPICY BILLING was tightened between BUDDY BROKE and ZAMDATO soon after the start and fell and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 5	Cesarina Scott-Marson Memorial C2 - C2 - 520	FERGIE'S BELLE shifted in soon after the start and caused jostling to THRILLING AVA and JUST MAC and they lost ground. FERGIE'S BELL continued to shift in across the line of JUST MAC which was hampered and made firm contact with the rail and lost ground. JUST MAC was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 6	Brownzy Sports Bar North Shore NZ Futurity Consolation R/A - R/A - 520	THRILLING LOGIC shifted in from the start and bumped with THRILLING CHARLY and they lost a little momentum. THRILLING CHARLY shifted in going into the first corner and checked JETSUN BLAZE which went back onto SPEED LEGEND and then out onto THRILLING LOGIC and they ran very wide into the bend losing several lengths and finished in the last two places.
Race 7	The Naki Boys Syndicate C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	General tightening on the first corner resulted in checks to CAWBOURNE TILLY, OSTAPCHUK, LOCHINVAR SONIC and THANKS CHARLIE who all lost ground with OSTAPCHUK the most affected and he went back to the rear and finished in that position. FIZZLE BALE checked off the heels of DYNA GROLL going into the final bend and lost two lengths.
Race 8	Red Snapper Seafoods (ChCh) Wellington Stakes C5 - C5 - 520	The bandage on the hind leg of ANOTHER BREEZE came loose during the race and the Kennel Representative was instructed to ensure that the tape being used is of a type which will not come loose in wet weather. THRILLING VEGAS shifted away from the rail going into the first corner and caused checks to THRILLING ELLA, COOL IZMIR and SAM I AM who all lost ground.
Race 9	Brownzy Sports Bar North Shore NZ Futurity Final R/A - R/Af - 520	BONE NERD was the slowest to begin losing two lengths. RED CRYSTAL and RENE RANGER bumped together going into the first bend and soon after SAMMY JAMES made firm contact with the rail and shifted out collided with HELLO ELLO who was forced onto VICTORIOUS GEM and all three lost momentum. VICTORIOUS GEM then drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. SAMMY JAMES was also referred to the Vet for assessment, was found to have grazing to a hind leg but no stand down was required. RENE RANGER and KIWI GIRL disputed the lead into the home straight where RENEE RANGER shifted out and hampered KIWI GIRL while turning its head and attempting to fight. RENE RANGER was referred to the Vet for assessment, was cleared of injury and was stood down for 28 days for failing to pursue the lure throughout and is required to complete a satisfactory trail.
Race 10	Glasshouse Bar (Upper Hutt) Premier Sprint Final C5 - C5f - 305	ROSEMORE OSTI shifted in going into the bend and was galloped on by VERSATILITY and SAHARA RAMA then shifted in and was struck by ROSEMORE OSTI with all three losing several lengths and they finished at the rear.
Race 11	B & P Engineering (Upper Hutt) C3 - C3 - 305	One of the favourites ERUZA was the slowest to begin and was forced to race wide from box 8 at the start and after covering extra ground , she finished in 7th place.
Race 12	Cafe Cibo Upper Hutt C4 - C4 - 305	THRILLING SQUEAL was slow to begin losing three lengths. GO FERN GO shifted in going to the first corner and hampered RED MOOVA HOOVA who lost two lengths. Soon after, RED MOOVA HOOVA collided with EXCESSIVE SPEED and they lost ground back to the rear. THRILLING SQUEAL, CARUBA QUEEN and MEGA UPLOAD all ran wide into the home straight covering extra ground.
