| Race 1 | CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C0 - 390 | ALL FOR ONE and LOOPTASTIC were the last to jump from the outside traps. BLUE SHORTS and LEAH BELLE were both tightened into the bend as SECRET NICOLE shifted down the track from a wide draw. |
| Race 2 | ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C1 - 390 | NEW INGILLTAB, OPAWA LEIGHTON and WANDY MATT all came together in the initial stages and settled at the rear. The pacemaking HARES HOPING was dragged down by PICK THE TIP into the bend and lost momentum. HARES HOPING recovered well to hold third placing. HARES HOPING was injured in this incident and referred to the Vet for assessment. |
| Race 3 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 457 | FANTAS FICTION proved very difficult to load for this event. This dog will now be boxed first in its immediate starts. FANTAS FICTION, OPAWA WEBBY and POISED BOY were the slowest to jump. OPAWA NIKO ran outwards in the early stages coming together with MAX'S LAD. MAX'S LAD then ran inwards into the bend tightening ONE EAR POISED who then ran very wide on the home turn and lost ground. |
| Race 4 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C1 - 390 | MERELY A DREAM was a clear last at the jump. MAGGIE DEE and STARBURST CLEMMY came together in the early stages with MERELY A DREAM then angling outwards and coming into contact with STARBURST CLEMMY soon after. SHADOW WOLF ran outwards on the bend pushing an improving MERELY A DREAM over extra ground. |
| Race 5 | BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1 - 457 | The favourite WARRUGAL SPRINGS jumped very awkwardly after his left paw came up with the lids with WARRUGAL SPRINGS settling a clear last. Stewards reviewed the film before authorising payment to ensure that the dog was not disadvantaged by any mechanical failure. WARRUGAL SPRINGS was injured in the above incident and was referred to the Vet for assessment. HAZZA'S GOT SWAG angled outwards in the back straight hindering SEA SPRAY DORIS and THREAT for some strides. MATULINO and SEA SPRAY DORIS tangled on two occasions into the bend losing momentum. |
| Race 6 | 100% SELECTRIX - C1 - 390 | MOREPORT SHANNON escaped from his handler as the dogs were assembling pre race after its lead broke. The dog was passed fit to race. SALVADOR BALE was the slowest from the outside. OPAQUE angled inwards in the early stages coming together with AUSSIE HAKA for a stride. |
| Race 7 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C2 - 390 | JIMMY CEE, JUNIOR WHAT, NO LANE and WHERE'S JOHN CEE were all tightened into the bend and lost ground. NO LANE covered extra ground on the home turn before making ground well for its second placing. |
| Race 8 | $25 YARD MUZZLES - C2/3 - 457 | MAGIC YOU and PUKEKO FLYER settled in the rear group. WANDY PAUL shifted up the track in the early stages hampering BANBIT and SMASH AMEGO with PUKEKO FLYER being forced to run wide to obtain racing room. BANBIT then ran inwards forcing WANDY PAUL back down the track on to MAGIC YOU who lost ground. |
| Race 9 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C4/5 - 457 | GEOFF THE REF was tightened in the run down the back straight as RUSSELL HART angled outwards. |
| Race 10 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C4 - 390 | GOTTA FIND BUBBA was badly tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. OKUKU SKYHIGH was forced wide around this runner on the bend and lost ground. |
| Race 11 | Far South Challenge Final - C5f - 457 | ANOTHER DOLLAR dropped to the rear in the early stages and remained last throughout. |
| Race 12 | Justracing.com.au - C3 - 390 | FEARSOME MCKAY ran inwards in the early stages causing tightening to JIMMY JURANTE, SHIRAZ ROSE and FELIXSTOWE with CAWBOURNE KIM having to change ground to the inside to obtain racing room. |
| Race 13 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS - C2 - 457 | TAKE A TRICK was very slow to jump with SRETROR also settling well back. SHA CHAR was hampered in the back straight as THRILLING SOUND attempted to get to the outside with these dogs both losing ground. |
| Race 14 | SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C5 - 390 | FANTA ALERT crossed quickly to the rail dictating the line of HOMEBUSH MAYHEM and SORRY VANDERFORD over the early stages. SORRY VANDERFORD received a check into the bend as ANOTHER GON crossed from his outside. |
