Judicial report: Much of the second half of the card was conducted in dense fog. Lure Driver Pete Knowles did an admirable job being able to operate from the middle of the track where the whole track was visible.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C3 - 295	IONA HAKA and PHAEDRAS FIRST were the slowest to jump. NATALIA BALE ran outwards in the early stages tightening IONA HAKA, FIERY FLOWER and BENNYS ANGEL with FIERY FLOWER dropping to the rear. FIERY FLOWER then checked off the back of PHAEDRAS FIRST into the bend and lost more ground. Matt Roberts was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner SOSAN. He stated that the preferred wide draw and a downgrade were factors.
Race 2	Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C3 - 295	REDDY BOY ran inwards in the early stages checking RENNERS GIFT who dropped to the rear. REDDY BOY then ran wide into the bend and lost ground. EL MAESTRO was tightened on the bend and lost his position.
Race 3	Coalgate Tavern Dash - C4 - 295	ANOTHER DRIZZLE and STUMPY KASHKOW were the last to jump from the outside. FAIR MOVIN was tightened into the bend and lost ground. ANOTHER DRIZZLE finished last in a gap with a post race veterinary check revealing slight cramp with no stand down deemed appropriate.
Race 4	Murray@Ray White Ph 3715005 Feature - C2 - 520	JUST TEASING was the last to jump. KNOW FUN and OSCAR TUIVASA came together soon after the jump. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH BAD BOY angled inwards and tightened OSCAR TUIVASA and SHOULD BE CARLOS who lost momentum. Into the back straight JUST TEASING ran outwards checking kennelmate KNOW FUN with these runners losing ground.
Race 5	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Sprint - C5 - 295	EMERGE, KNOW ADVANTAGE and FIREMANS SALUTE were the slowest from the traps.
Race 6	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C3 - 520	MIXED GRILL ran inwards in the early stages tightening HOMEBUSH IRIS, LAGOON BEACH BOY and FELIXSTOWE with these runners losing ground. Wider out into the bend THANKS CHARLIE angled inwards checking OPAWA MIDNIGHT and OPAWA STYLE. OPAWA MIDNIGHT was dragged down at this stage and dropped to the rear with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 7	Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C4 - 520	This race was run in dense fog but it appeared that GONE AWOL ran outwards into the first bend pushing KNOW PERIL and BELLS WAY wider.
Race 8	I Pave Concrete Dash - C5 - 295	Nothing to report
Race 9	Barron's Supplies South Island Championship Final - C5f - 520	From the limited view available MAXIMUM JEWEL and YELLA MUSTARD were the slowest to jump with KNOW WHICH being forced wide around the first bend.
Race 10	Borat At Stud Sprint - C5 - 295	GENISTA GARDENS and KNOW ESCAPE were the slowest from the traps with EXCUSE PLEASE being checked in the early stages and joining them at the rear.
Race 11	Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Stayers Cup Final - C2df - 732	MORIARTY ran inwards in the early stages checking ARCHIES JET who dropped to the rear. Into the first bend THRILLING SOUND ran outwards pushing GLYNIS BALE outwards on to MR. CHINO who lost ground. GLYNIS BALE faltered in this incident and pulled up being carried off the track by Tony Music who was stationed on the bend. A post race veterinary check of GLYNIS BALE revealed a fractured ulna radius. The connections advised that she has been retired from racing and will be saved for breeding purposes. THRILLING SOUND was tightened into the straight on the first occasion dropping to the rear. He ran on late for fourth.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	WANDY HALLEE was the last to jump. THRILLING CLOVER ran inwards in the early stages checking JUST A MATE and OPAWA COLLAR with these three dogs continuing to jostle for some distance. Into the bend OPAWA COLLAR ran outwards badly checking JUST A MATE who stumbled and lost his chance. A post race veterinary check of JUST A MATE revealed no injury.
