Track: Good The track had been topped up with new sand last weekend and provided an excellent surface.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: WATERVIEW LASS (Adcock/Seque) was withdrawn from the NZ Oaks Final before the box draw as she had not recovered from her cut leg that was subject to a stand down last week.
ZEBIDIA (J&D Fahey) successfully completed a Trial as required by Rule 81.
Trainers D Poutama and E Doody were fined $100.00 as per the Minor Infrengements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 when RENNERS GIFT weighed in at 42.0 kgs which was 1.6 kgs under his last race weight on 5 April 2012.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	DYNA FRIER was the last to jump from the inside. SPACE RACE ran inwards at the start tightening MISS IRON FIST and ANOTHER RAEWYN. Soon after MISS IRON FIST continued to angle inwards with ANOTHER RAEWYN and KNOW TRUST receiving tightening and losing ground.
Race 2	Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C4 - 295	ANOTHER HIT was tightened in behind runners into the bend and lost ground. WHERES JOHN CEE angled outwards on the home turn and pushed RED VENOM wider. In the home straight SOSAN was held up for racing room and lost momentum and her chance. At the lure PURE AND SPECIAL was knocked over with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. RED VENOM was also checked by the Vet and found to have strained metatarsals with a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295	REDDY BOY angled outwards into the bend pushing HOT SHOT LAWYER wider with both runners losing ground.
Race 4	Jet Pets Stakes - C2 - 520	CAWBOURNE JAKE stumbled for a stride soon after the jump settling last. FELIXSTOWE ran inwards tightening SONIC DUFFER in the early stages. On the first bend DYNA INDIGO angled outwards pushing MOLLY PARTON wider on the track.
Race 5	Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C5 - 295	GAZZAS PRIDE was the last to jump while closer in PRETTY GOOD and ADINI were both a shade slow. ADINI was badly tightened into the bend as PRETTY GOOD angled off the rail. RUSSELL HART ran wide into the bend pushing GAZZAS PRIDE wider as she attempted to improve. On the home turn COOL JORDIE lost momentum as she was tightened in between GENISTA GARDENS and DYNA DIEGO.
Race 6	David Emerson Consultancy Stakes - C2/3 - 520	HOMEBUSH IRIS was badly tightened and dragged down into the first bend dropping back through the field and settling a distant last. BARNABY BALE and OPAWA STYLE were both badly checked in this incident and lost ground. BARNABY BALE did well to get up for fourth after this early check. HOMEBUSH IRIS remained last throughout with a post race veterinary check revealing no abnormalities.
Race 7	Murray @ Ray White Ph.3715005 Feature - C5 - 520	CYNTHIA BAXTER crossed to the inside in the early stages checking GEOFF THE REF who lost ground and settled well back.
Race 8	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C5 - 295	LADAKH and SEA SPRAY TICH were the last to jump. The favourite NIPPA MARY was crossed into the bend by her kennelmate COOL CHARMER with NIPPA MARY running outwards into the path of OUR BEOWULF and being badly checked losing ground. TRILOGY SERIES was also tightened and lost ground in behind these runners. NIPPA MARY recovered to run fourth with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 9	Coaster's Tavern New Zealand Oaks Final - R/Af - 520	BLACK EMILY was very slow to jump with GLYNIS BALE and OKUKU DREAMER also settling well back. GONE AWOL ran wide on the home turn and lost ground.
Race 10	Borat At Stud Dash - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH SARGE and STARBURST SUZIE were the last to jump. DIXIE LEE and WEE PING DOLL came together into the bend when in the leading group losing momentum. CALLAHAN angled outwards into the bend pushing ROMBERG LASS wider.
Race 11	Buy Sell & Exchange Stakes - C4 - 520	OPAWA MIDNIGHT was slow to jump. In the early stages MAGIC LASS ran inwards coming into contact with kennelmates BASILIO BALE and RINGOS COLT with MORIARTY also being inconvenienced and losing ground. RINGOS COLT was found to have a laceration to his left front leg requiring sutures with a ten day stand down recommended.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	EXCUSE PLEASE and JENNINGS came together in the early stages. Into the bend JENNINGS ran outwards severely checking FEARSOME MCKAY and WHERES ROBYN who both lost there chances. Post race veterinary checks of these two runners revealed no injuries.
