Nationals Series Information

Hi everyone,

As you will be aware from the Racing Schedule, the New Zealand Nationals Middle Distance and the New Zealand Nationals Distance will take place on Thursday 11 August at Addington, to coincide with the other state finals taking place around Australia.

The winners of the two New Zealand races will automatically qualify for their respective finals at Wentworth Park on Saturday 27 August.

GRNZ has organised the return flights to Sydney for the two successful greyhounds, should the winning connections choose to enter their greyhounds in their respective finals.

New Customs and MPI restrictions mean that greyhounds can stay in Australia for up to 10 days (or otherwise, they will need to stay for six weeks), and also mean that animals cannot fly trans-Tasman on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays.

Therefore, the flight details are as follows:
* Christchurch to Sydney Tuesday 23 August 2022
* Sydney to Christchurch Wednesday 31 August 2022

We have also had confirmation that the greyhounds will be able to trial at Wentworth Park on Wednesday 24 August.
