Prohibited Substances Reminder

As you will be aware, under the GRNZ Master Rules of Racing, “The Owner, Trainer or Person in charge of a Greyhound Nominated to compete in a Race, shall produce the Greyhound for the Race free of any Prohibited Substance” (Rule 61.1).

The Fifth Schedule sets out permanently banned prohibited substances.

GRNZ expects any breaches to be detected, which is why we fully support testing in and out of competition.

In the rare event of any greyhounds returning positive swabs, GRNZ also supports the Racing Integrity Board conducting full investigations around the circumstances, so that accurate facts around any such breaches can be fully ascertained.
