Greyhound Racing to continue under Red

Greyhound Racing will continue to operate under the nationwide Red Traffic Light.

Manukau has already run a number of meetings under Red.

As racing is operating with Vaccine Passes, only fully vaccinated people can come on to the track and the Red Traffic Light restricts the total number attending to 100.

Mask wearing for staff and LPs remains mandatory within the kennel block and weigh room areas and is strongly encouraged at all other times.

Standby over the coming days for a possible increase to mask wearing requirements.  Reading between the lines of the Government's annoucement, they may soon make modifications to the Red Traffic Light settings.

Other businesses operating at a racetrack, such as Spectators (Addington) the Clubhouse Bar (Cambridge) and the Manukau's Greyhound Lounge will operate under their own protocols so you will need to comply with these if you wish to enter.

Now that Omicron is in the community, we need to work together to keep it out of Greyhound Racing.  The need for close contacts to isolate is the biggest threat to racing operations so please maintain vigilance and stay safe.

Protocols for each track:

Manukau     Cambridge     Palmerston North     Addington     Invercargill
