GRNZ Board Award details announced

GRNZ wants to celebrate the young achievers in our sport!

Do you know someone aged under 30, who has been doing amazing things in greyhound racing in New Zealand?

Nominate them for a GRNZ Board Award!

The GRNZ Board will select a monthly winner from the pool of nominations, and that winner will receive up to $500 towards personal development within the industry.

At the end of the racing season, a panel including but not limited to the GRNZ Board, will select an overall winner from the season’s monthly winners, and that person will receive up to $5,000 towards personal development within the industry.

The annual award winner will be announced at the GRNZ Annual Awards night.

How It Works

To nominate someone, send an email to Elizabeth Whelan ([email protected]), which includes who you are nominating and why. Please include your contact details, and also the contact details of the person you are nominating.

A nominated person must be aged under 30 at the time of nomination. Proof of age may be requested.

A nominated person is eligible for consideration for a GRNZ Board Award for three months following their nomination. After that time, they will need to be nominated again to be considered.

All winners are entirely at the discretion of the GRNZ Board. If insufficient nominations are received for a particular month, the GRNZ Board reserves the right not to make an award.

The winner and nominator may receive publicity on the GRNZ and other websites.

A person can only win a GRNZ Board Award once in a racing season.

All monthly winners are eligible to win the annual award.
