Impact on Racing Dates of Addington Sand Replacement Project

The decision to replace the racing surface at Addington will have a significant impact on South Island Greyhound Racing Dates in April.

 

The Addington Venue will not be available for racing during the project, meaning the following Christchurch GRC licenses will be removed from the calendar:

 

Thu 8 April, Fri 9 April

Mon 12 April, Tue 13 April, Thu 15 April, Fri 16 April 

The following Southland GRC licences have been amended or added to the calendar:

 

Fri 9 April (15 races)

Tues 13 April (15 races)

Tues 20 April (15 races) (ex Mon 19 April)

 

The following Otago GRC licences have been amended or added to the calendar:  

 

Fri 16 April (15 races) (ex Wed 14 April)

Fri 23 April (15 races)

 

The following Palmerston North GRC licences have been amended in the calendar:

 

Mon 12 April (ex Tue 13 April)

Mon 19 April (ex Tue 20 April)

 

Note that there is a further change in the North Island Dates at the end of March.  The Cambridge night meeting from Thu 1 April moves back a day to Wed 31 March where Wanganui now has a 12 race licence.  This serves the dual purpose of keeping three days between the two Northern meetings that week and sperating Cambridge from Thursday's Golden Chase meeting.  

 

The Premier NZ Derby night at Cambridge remains on Thu 15 April, with heats the previous Thursday (8 April).
