GRNZ moves Auckland GRC to Tuesday 9 March
The Auckland GRC meeting originally scheduled for this Sunday has been moved to Tuesday 9 March, starting at Noon and running concurrently with the Addington meeting.
Uncertainty over the continuation of Alert Level 3 and it's associated road-blocks, together with clashing contingencies for Ellerslie's Derby date, led GRNZ to make the decision to race on Tuesday.

The Tuesday date allows for nominations to close on Friday, the day that everyone is crossing their fingers to hear an announcement about when Auckland will come out of Alert Level 3.
The clear downside of a Tuesday date, is its proximity to Cambridge on Thursday, however, that is outweighed by the higher confidence that racing can take place on Tuesday as well as the opportunity to run out noms.
