Out of Region Noms/Import Ban Lifted Subject to Conditions
Good afternoon all,
GRNZ Requirements for the importation of greyhounds into New Zealand
Dogs must have come from establishments where there have been no clinical cases of CECV in the previous 30 days.
Dogs must have been kept in pre-export isolation for 14 days in company with dogs of similar health status.
After 14 days in pre-export isolation, the dog(s) to be exported must be subject to a PCR test on a fresh faecal sample.
The dog(s) to be exported must continue to be kept in pre-export isolation until a negative result for the PCR test has been received and then until subsequently exported.
Once a clear test has been obtained the dog can now be exported.
At the airport in New Zealand, it is to be collected by you or a nominated agent if requiring to be flown down the country to another domestic destination to be transferred to that flight.
Post arrival at your kennels the dog(s) should be kept in isolation or quarantine for at least 14 days which may be extended if clinical signs suggest infection and for further testing required.
Thanks,
The GRNZ Team
