Clearance for Employees

Good morning all,

For those looking to get clearance for their employees to continue to work and to look after their dogs you need to follow all government and Greyhound Racing protocols to ensure the safety of yourselves and your workers.

All staff will need to wear disposable gloves at all times and switch them out regularly when working with greyhounds. The Covid-19 virus can stay active on a surface for days, including a canine's fur.

All common areas such as staff toilets and kitchens and regularly touched surfaces such as doorknobs, gate latches, dog crates etc. need to be cleaned twice daily using the two-step process - cleaning with a household cleaner and then disinfecting with disinfectant.

Kennel areas and feeding areas will need to be segregated with staff sticking to their segregated areas to minimise the potential of germs being spread. Leads, collars and muzzles will need to stay in the relevant kennel areas.

Staff need to keep 2 metres apart from one another at all times, if you feel the slightest bit sick, do NOT come into work, and continue to wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds and practice good hygiene to keep yourself and others safe.

Thank you for your cooperation.
