Track Curator

Greyhound Racing New Zealand is seeking the services of a Track Curator at its complex at the Manukau Sports Bowl, Manukau City.

We require a self-motivated, flexible person with good communication skills to fill the role of Track Curator/Groundsman. The successful applicant will be responsible for track preparation and general maintenance at the Auckland Greyhound Racing Club.

  • Hold a valid NZ Drivers Licence
  • Hold or be prepared to attain your first aid certificate
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours on a roster including weekends, morning and evenings.
  • Attend all training requirements.
  • You will need to be physically fit and capable of normal manual handling activities.
  • Further study options may include supervisory training and management training toward Club Management roles.
  • Candidates with experience driving trucks, tractors, and other machinery and/or who possess mechanical experience would be considered favourably. Industry experience or knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Full on ongoing training to be provided to the successful candidate which may include travelling to Australia for initial training

This is a 40 hours per week position, with Sunday being a working day, as that is our normal race day. Hours are flexible but are centred around trial and race days.
