The Fitz Sports Bar Galaxy Sprint Heat Preview

The explosive short course sprinters will contest seven 295m heats for The Fitz Sports Bar Galaxy Sprint at Group 1 level at the Addington Raceway on Friday afternoon. The first four finishers will be joined by the four fastest heat fifth place getters in next Wednesday’s semifinal rounds.

6 Justin Ryan $81 & $18: He’s a recent open class graduate who gamely chased home a sharp sprinter for his Ascot Park C4/5 390m second on Tuesday.
7 Hilton Open $61 & $15: He’s currently a C3 assessed sprinter therefore obviously this field represents a fair step up in class for him.
8 Nitrology $21 & $6: He’s a sharp northern trained sprinter who tends to be a tad hit of miss at that jump. Drawing out here is likely to aid his claims in this dash.

2 Know Hassle $31 & $8: He was a nice 17.44s 295m C3/4 winner here last week. He has returned to the podium following all six of his previous races from this trap.
3 Rand $61 & $15: She controlled the pace throughout when delivering her 17.24s C2 295m win last Friday. She must adopt those same on the pace tactics here.
4 Homebush Miles $31 & $8: He made a mistake at trap rise in his C3/4 295m sprint last week which led to an impeded racing passage for him.
5 Super Bad $126 & $26: He’s C4 sprinter who cops a tough draw here. His last start Forbury Park 310m sprint yielded him with a one length third.
6 Opawa Sheldon $26 & $7: He isn’t known for his early pace, but he is definitely known for his strong finishing ability. His recent 295m and 390m thirds illustrates that factor.
7 Express Gun $31 & $8: She’s a proven 295m sprinter at this venue and she is certainly sharp enough to slip around the outer here.
8 Storming Norm $126 & $26: Southland sprinter who owns sound form from this trap. His four previous Addington 295m sprints has seen him place in two of them.

1 Miss Fanning $41 & $10: She finished third in last year’s Galaxy final and she was a stylish C3/4 17.25s 295m winner last Thursday. That says enough to respect her.
2 Wheelchair Norm $4.50 & $1.80: He makes his welcome return to this venue as he seeks his 74th career victory. He destroyed his last start rivals with his swift 18.23s 310m win.
3 Amino Trouble $41 & $10: He won a C2/3 295m dash in 17.41s last Thursday then he produced an on the pace Ascot Park 390m second on Tuesday when running out C3 noms.
4 Highland Laddie $26 & $7: Northern trained sprinter who travels south for his track debut after his tidy 18.59s Manukau 318m win. He has the ability to contest the pace.
5 Oppie Bale $81 & $18: She’s provided with a tough draw here after she suffered from a traffic impeded 295m dash last Thursday.
6 Homebush Jax $101 & $22: He’s a C3 graded sprinter who won over 310m in 18.45s two races ago. He’s facing a much stiffer assignment here.

3 Seriously Grand $14 & $4: He’s a slick 295m sprinter around here who was bold when delivering his 2.5 length 295m third to kennelmate Swimming Goat last Thursday.
4 Cosmic Richie $126 & $26: He’s a C4 assessed sprinter who didn’t enjoy being tossed in with some open class sprinters at Ascot Park over 390m on Tuesday.
5 Saraya Jayde $201 & $41: She wasn’t able to cross her rivals from trap 8 in her C3/4 295m sprint last week. This draw is no help for her.
6 High Dreamer $41 & $10: He has endured luckless recent 295m sprints around here. He has no option but to step away smartly here.
7 Sarcasm $51 & $12: He isn’t the quickest into stride which is an obvious concern here, however he is likely to be sighted finishing strongly here.

5 Opawa Waihemo $126 & $26: He was trying to push around the outer from trap 8 during his 390m Tuesday sprint when he was denied racing room.
6 Valyrian Steel $151 & $31: He pressed on during the run home for his Ascot Park C2/3 390m fourth on Tuesday. This race is at a far different level.
7 Birdie Tee $7.50 & $2.50: She’s a consistent and proven sprinter around this circuit. Maintaining that consistency will see her advancing.
8 Another Cruise $101 & $22: He showed up during the early rush, but wasn’t able to break clear when stepping up to C5 sprinting last Thursday.
